FHW CHINA2012 Receive Support From Portugal Consulate-General Macau

Promotion of China Guangzhou International Food & Beverage Trade Fair 2012 (FHW CHINA 2012) has now world-widely spread and met good results. As the first and most international and professional food and beverage fair in South China, held by the world’s leading fair organizers, FHW CHINA attracts great attention from all over the world. Countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and New Zealand have confirmed their attendance at the fair as national pavilions.

On 30th May, representatives of the organizer and co-organizer of FHW CHINA paid a business visit to Consulate General of Portugal in Macao, including Ms. Tang – International Sales Manager of FHW CHINA and Ms. Lianfeng Chen – Vice President of Guangdong Chamber of Commerce of Importers & Exporters (GDCCIE). Ms. Mariana Oom from AICEP Portugal Global – Business Development Agency warmly welcomed the two representatives and conducted an effective business meeting.

On behalf of the organizer of the fair, Ms. Tang introduced the fair profile, promotion progress, exhibitor recruitment and services to Ms. Oom during the meeting. Ms Oom suggested that many Portuguese food and beverage manufacturers have been planning to enter South China market in recent years, especially producers of Portuguese tarts, canned food, wine, olive oil, coffee and etc, Ms. Oom also believed that FHW CHINA is the perfect platform which Portuguese companies are looking for. Ms. Chen, representing GDCCIE – the co-organizer of the fair and a highly regarded organization specialized in promoting Chinese import and export, showed warm welcome and full support for Portuguese enterprises to further explore the Chinese food and beverage market.

At the end of the meeting, Ms. Oom confirmed that a meeting with Macao trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) with be arranged soon  to further discuss the participation in FHW CHINA 2012 by establishing a pavilion of Portuguese and Macau companies. On behalf of aicep Portugal Glabal, she also maintained a close attention to the fair.
